Livestar Mini Planetarium at National Teacher Conference

March 16, 2011 (San Francisco, CA)

This past week iOptron officially introduced its latest product—the Livestar™ Mini Planetarium at the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) National Conference in San Francisco, CA. More than 8000 teachers and educators attended the conference and were able to see first-hand this unique educational product. The LiveStar™ Mini Planetarium is a miniature globe that projects the night sky right onto the ceiling and walls allowing anyone to explore the stars & constellations indoors. The Livestar lets the user see the stars and constellations, and also the Milky Way. Plus, the planetarium rotates to mimic the motion of the night sky! Many teachers at the conference were amazed at how simple it was to set up and also that it was not expensive — retailing for $79.99.

iOptron pre-released the Livestar Mini Planetarium during the December holiday shopping season. It is available at Walmart.com, Kohls.com, CSNStores.com, Amazon.com, as well as telescope hobbyist stores. iOptron plans to have the Livestar Mini Planetarium available in science museum stores and educational catalogues, such as Edmunds Scientific/Science Kit.
